Dubai Leader Sends Private Plane Filled With Supplies To Hurricane Ravaged Haiti

While we focus on the damage Hurricane Matthew caused to the east coast of the United States, other countries are focusing their attention on Haiti. Haiti was ravaged by Hurricane Matthew far worse than what we witnessed here in the States. The death toll alone stands at a reported 1,000 fatalities. At least 175,000 people are listed as homeless as a result of the storm, while another 1.4 million are in need of aid. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai has filled his private plane with more than $450,000 worth of supplies to help those in need. His wife, Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, also flew to the country to provide support and aid. It’s said Maktoum is providing medical supplies, tents, mosquito nets, and water purification units along with other necessary materials. https://www.instagram.com/p/BLiwhOrDXvB/ Haiti is dealing with damaged water supplies and sanitation issues as they work to clean up the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.
