When Desperate Housewives aired its first season in 2004 on ABC, everybody was instantly hooked. The show has some great plots and fantastic writing, which had everybody’s eyes glued to their TVs. With its insane popularity, it’s no wonder the show went on for a successful and eventful eight seasons. Since it has been quite some time since the show aired, we wondered what the cast looks like today and put up a gallery of ‘then and now’ photos of the cast of the beloved Desperate Housewives.
Marcia Cross (Bree Van De Kamp)
Aside from Marcia’s hair being slightly darker, she’s still as good looking as she was when the show first aired back in 2004. Along with her good looks, Cross has quite the brain, too. She BFA in acting from Juilliard and then received a Master’s Degree in Pyschology from Antioch University of Los Angeles in 2003.
Nicollette Sheridan (Edie Britt)
Nicollette Sheridan is one of those women that seems to never age. She looks better now than she did at the start of the show.
Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Solis)
Much like Nicollette Sheridan, Eva longoria defies aging. As the main character of Desperate Housewives, it’s only fitting that she continues to look as good as ever.
Mark Moses (Paul Young)
Mark has some more grey hairs and a few more wrinkles but he still looks great for his age. Since his time on Desperate Housewives, he’s added The Killing, Criminal Minds, Manhattan, Homeland, Mad Men, The Last Ship, Incorporated, and a few more notable roles to his resume.
Ricardo Antonio Chavira (Carlos Solis)
Without his facial hair, Chavira is almost unrecognizable. The clean-shaven look suits him better, as he looks for clean-cut. We know the facial hair was part of his character’s look, but we’d say he looks even better with the clean-cut look now.
Madison De La Garza (Juanita Solis)
Madison really grew into herself. Now, she’s gorgeous and can be seen at various red carpets events here and there.
Jesse Metcalfe (John Rowland)
The only thing that looks like it has aged on Jesse Metcalfe face in his beard, and only by about a week or two. As in actual aging, Metcalfe looks identical to when he did when he first appeared on the show.
Vanessa Williams (Renee Perry)
Vanessa is still as good looking as she has ever looked. Aging has clearly been verykind to this gorgeous actress, so we can only assume that she’ll look just as good in another ten years.
Steven Culp (Rex Van de Kamp)
Like Moses, Steven Culp has aged a bit with his wrinkles and greying hair, but it doesn’t stop him from looking good. Steven has since appeared in Grey’s Anatomy, Revolution, Code Black, and Bosch.
Kyle MacLachlan (Orson Hodge)
With the exception of a few wrinkles and the white hair, MacLachlan still looks fairly the the same, but he ditched the glasses. We’re pretty sure he’s nothing like Orson in real life, but his character always creeped everybody out.
Shawn Pyfrom (Andrew Van De Kamp)
There’s no way we could have recognized Pyform all grown up. Can you believe that Shawn is actually 30 years old now?
Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer)
This original desperate housewife has seemed to barely change. Aside from a few more wrinkles, Hatcher has hardly aged at all.
James Denton (Mike Delfino)
Age seemed to treat this actor extremely well. He looks better now than he did as his character of Mike on Desperate Housewives.
Andrea Bowen (Julie Mayer)
Bowen is all grown up now! yet, Her auburn hair has stayed with her the entire time. Fun fact: Bowen has earned herself two Screen Actors guild Awards.
Felicity Huffman (Lynette Scavo)
Aside from her shorter hair, Felicity still looks as great as she ever has. It’s almost as if she she looks younger now than she did when she first starred in the show.
Doug Savant (Tom Scavo)
Savant looks basically the same with some facial scruff, after a few years since the show. We think it suits him well at this point in his life.
Brent & Shane Kinsman (Porter & Preston Scavo)
Talk about a transformation! The Kinsman twins gre up to look quite like the handsome duo. It is pretty interesting that they grew up to have such a large height difference.
Darcy Rose Byrnes (Penny Scavo)
She grew up with the same cute baby face she had when she played Penny on Desperate Housewives. She truly does look the same as she did as a kid, just all grown up.
Brenda Strong (Mary Alice Young)
Brenda Strong looks as good as she did as her role as Mary Alice Young on Desperate Housewives. After the show wrapped up, Strong has roles in shows such as Dallas, Blood Relatives, Fear the Walking Dead, and Supergirl.
Richard Burgi (Karl Mayer)
