19. He Was A Lawyer

Castro attended law school at the University of Havana, where he became involved with politics and passionate about government reform.

18. He Quit Smoking In 1985

Some of the more well-known photos of Castro include a cigar in mouth, but the dictator gave up this vice in 1985. He claimed “The best thing you could do with a box of cigars is give them to your enemy.”
